Boort Library Agency

Operating from the Boort Resource and Information Centre, the agency gives families access to children’s and young adult books, storytimes, literary events and school-holiday activities. Boort Toy Library

Borrowing toys can add variety to play at home without families needing to purchase everything themselves. The toy library is available through the Boort Resource and Information Centre; contact BRIC for current membership and borrowing arrangements.

Boort Swimming Pool

The seasonal outdoor pool offers a 50-metre lap pool, program pool and toddler pool, as well as a barbecue for patrons. Under the Watch Around Water policy, children under 10 must be actively supervised by a responsible person aged 16 or older.

Boort Preschool

Loddon Shire Council operates free funded Three- and Four-Year-Old Sessional Kindergarten programs in Boort. Children must meet the applicable age requirements, and Council manages enrolments for its kindergartens. Families considering the program can arrange a visit with preschool staff.

Boort Maternal and Child Health Service

Loddon Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local

Buloke & Loddon TAC L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program

Eligible learners aged 16 to 20 in Loddon and Buloke shires can receive free supervised driving practice when they lack access to a vehicle, supervising driver or both. Participants need a current learner permit and are matched with a volunteer mentor, with a sponsored vehicle provided for practice.

The Orange Door – Loddon

Free support is available for family wellbeing, children and young people, and family violence, with no referral required. The regional service can be accessed through Bendigo, Echuca or Maryborough, or during business hours by calling 1800 512 359 or emailing loddon@orangedoor.vic.gov.au.
